Our organization survives because of our volunteers. We only have two year-round employees, and 4-6 summer interns to take care of hundreds of bats. We need people like you to keep us going! Click below to find our volunteer application and learn more about how you can volunteer your skills.
Summer Internships
During the summer, we hire 4-6 bat specialist interns. No experience is required, however, people with biology or veterinary studies, backgrounds, or interests are preferred. Most of all, we look for people who are just as excited about bats as we are!

Fundraising
We understand that not everyone has the time or ability to show up in person. A big way you can help is by sharing our mission with donors! Austin Bat Refuge is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that relies on donations in order to keep showing up for Texas bats in need.
